Welcome to the Maryland Help & Support page. The Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program’s LS MISA and Government tests that measure school and individual student progress toward mastery of the high school science and social studies curriculum standards.

Key Dates

LS MISA: Life Science Maryland Integrated Science Assessments

During the 2017-2018 school year and beyond, students take the Life Science Maryland Integrated Science Assessment (LS MISA). LS MISA is a series of science assessments in Grade 5, 8 and High School. These assessments provide educators, parents, and the public with information about student progress towards science literacy. High school students take the LS (Life Science) MISA after successfully completing high school coursework in life science (biology). LS MISA and Government are End of Course Assessments worth 20% of a student's final grade. For more information regarding the test, please visit the Maryland Assessments website.

MCAP Government

High school students take the MCAP Government EOC assessment after successfully completing high school coursework in government. MCAP Government is an End of Course Assessment worth 20% of a student's final grade. For more information regarding the test, please visit the Maryland Assessments website.
