Key Dates

MISA: Maryland Integrated Science Assessments

During the 2017-2018 school year and beyond, students take the Maryland Integrated Science Assessment (MISA). MISA is a series of science assessments in Grade 5, 8 and High School. These assessments provide educators, parents, and the public with information about student progress towards science literacy. High school students take the MISA after successfully completing high school coursework in all three main science disciplines: earth/space science, life science (biology), and physical science (chemistry and physics). LS MISA and Government are End of Course Assessments worth 20% of a student's final grade. For more information regarding the test, please visit the Maryland Assessments website.

MCAP Government

Students must pass the MCAP Government EOC assessment, meet the requirements through an approved combined score, or through the Bridge Plan. For more information regarding the test, please visit the Maryland Assessments website.
